About US

The Channon Teahouse & Gallery is set in the heart of the tranquil village of The Channon in the rolling hills of the Byron Bay Hinterland.  One of the original buildings and affectionately know as 'The Teahouse' by the locals; many of whom helped to establish an art and craft shop in 1986, known as The Channon Teahouse & Craft Shop.

Located on the tourist route to Protestors Falls, The Channon Teahouse & Gallery was operated as a butchery in 1960, taken over by Michael Taylor in 1971 and renovated to sell their pottery & art.  The Channon Teahouse & Gallery is now opened as a licensed cafe, gallery and gift shop displaying local art and serving delicious homemade cakes, fresh salads from the garden and locally sourced produce and local crafted beers.

The Cafe is full of energy and life, created as an engaging and inspiring place for guests to reconnect with one another over a seasonally inspired menu
